Gina Starr was born in San Francisco, California into a home
where artistic expression was honored and practiced. Gina's
Mother and Grandmother were artists who taught her, at an
early age, that one of life's greatest joys is to express
who you are through your art.
As a trained classical ballet dancer, Gina's art reflects
her love of movement and precision that is at the core of
her artistic expression. As a professional in the field of
Early Childhood Education working with young children and
families, she trusts the spontaneous and respects the
emotional. As a world traveler her art is a vehicle for new
energy, and captures her compassion for the human condition.
Gina's art always reflects her passion for movement, and the
natural rhythms inherent within our bodies and within the
world of nature. Seeking expression through movement is her
way of life, and seeing that movement expressed on paper
with line, color, and form is a gift to be shared. As she
moves, she creates. As she creates, she heals.
Gina lives with her husband in Biddeford, Maine. Her works
are rendered in pastels, pencil, acrylic paint, and inks.
